Avatar began in 2001, when a small group of engineers in Peru set out to build high-performance ecommerce platforms at a time when digital commerce was still emerging in Latin America. Early partnerships with IBM positioned the company as one of the region’s first specialized ecommerce solution providers.

Over the next two decades, Avatar expanded across Chile, Colombia, Mexico, the United States and Europe, consistently delivering complex implementations for major retailers and global brands.

Throughout these years, the company evolved from platform development into a full digital commerce partner — supporting Salesforce Commerce Cloud, HCL Commerce, integrations, modernization and now AI-enhanced operational capabilities.
